This is a good question to have a little think about before getting in touch to order a celebration cake or wedding cake with me.

Knowing how many guests you would like to give a piece of your sweet, yummy cake to will determine its size. If you can provide me with an idea of how many cake portions you need it will allow me as your expert cake baker to advise you on the correct size of cake to give you enough portions but avoid cake being ‘left -over’ (although feedback from my customers indicates that this is rarely an issue!).

Below is a helpful cake portion diagram that will give you a rough idea of what size of cake/s you might need for your birthday party or wedding reception. Please note that it is only meant as a guideline. How many portions your cake serves is also dependent on how big you make your delicious slices! The number of layers a cake has will also determine how many slices or servings you will get out of a cake too.
